Scout Carving Knife

The Scout Carving Knife combines a child-oriented format with real carving function for supervised outdoor woodwork. Its 17 cm overall length, 8 cm blade length and 2.8 mm blade thickness create a short, manageable setup for shaving bark, shaping sticks and learning controlled cutting movements on small branches. A rounded tip defines the blade shape and keeps the point less aggressive than a sharp-tipped knife, while the fixed construction gives direct feedback during each stroke. The wooden handle adds a natural grip surface, and the riveted build keeps the handle scales firmly in place. A small guard between handle and blade helps separate the hand position from the cutting edge during guided use. The included sheath covers the blade for storage and transport, with a strap closure that keeps the knife in place and a loop for attaching it when heading outdoors. Used on a dry branch in the garden, at camp or during scouting activities, the knife supports simple carving tasks such as peeling bark, tapering stick ends or preparing wood for small craft projects. The Scout look on handle and sheath ties the practical details to an outdoor theme, while the 8Y+ age marking places it clearly for older children learning these first carving steps under supervision.
